WMU suspends practices after 9 student-athletes test positive for COVID-19

KALAMAZOO, Mich. — Western Michigan University canceled all practices until further notice after 9 student-athletes across 4 sports tested positive for COVID-19.

"Several of the cases were close contacts in communal living situations." Robin Hook, the university's Associate AD of Communications told FOX 17. "Sindecuse Health Center has conducted contact tracing and testing as needed."

According to Hook, the seasons are not over - yet. The university is waiting to find out if any other students are COVID-positive before making a decision.
