WEST MICHIGAN — With various businesses temporarily closing their doors during the coronavirus outbreak, many people are searching for work.
Here’s a list of companies that are currently hiring and open for business during this time of social isolation.
Amazon
Hiring 100,000 new roles to support people relying on Amazon’s service in this stressful time. These positions include full- and part-time positions across the U.S. in various fulfillment centers and the delivery network.
Hungry Howie’s
People need to eat, and Hungry Howie’s needs help delivering pizzas to people stuck at home. They’re hiring delivery drivers, full- and part time positions, earning up to $15 an hour.
Dollar General
One of the largest low-cost convenience stores is hiring. Dollar General has open retail positions at many of their stores in our region.
Domino's
To help fulfill demand, Domino's said it is hiring for delivery experts, pizza makers, customer service representatives, managers and assistant managers.
Meijer
While Meijer changed its hours for customers, they’re still in need of staff 24/7. They’re currently hiring seasonal workers at all of their West Michigan locations. Click here to apply.
Samaritas
Samaritas, one of the state’s largest nonprofits with more than 60 social service program sites in 40 cities throughout Michigan, recently announced a hiring need for caregivers at their senior living campuses across the state. Positions range from entry-level work with no specific qualifications or certifications to CNAs and RNs.
SpartanNash
In a Facebook post, SpartanNash says they’re looking to hire temp workers. Immediate interviews and on-the-spot hiring is available!
Walmart
Plans to hire 150,000 new associates through the end of May to work in stores, clubs, distribution centers and fulfillment centers. These roles start out temporary, but most will convert to permanent roles over time.
Enviro-Clean
Looking to add staff to clean essential businesses and other facilities. Much of the cleaning is done after hours, so there won't be close contact with the general public. Many shifts and flexible scheduling available.
S. Abraham & Sons
In search of drivers or general workers.
Advance Auto Parts
Hiring sales personnel and auto experts to keep essential workers on the road.
Pine Rest
Many opportunities available from entry level/no experience necessary all the way up to RNs and clinicians.
