GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. — Spectrum Health announced late Thursday night they will be temporarily closing walk-in clinics to help stop the spread of COVID-19.

"To limit unnecessary exposure to COVID-19, Spectrum Health has enabled our primary care and most of our specialty care medical teams to see patients through a virtual visit," the company wrote in a statement. "For needs requiring a face-to-face visit, there are locations available and open to patients, including urgent care sites and labs."

Spectrum Health underlined they are asking people to connect with their healthcare providers virtually for any non-life-threatening issue. It is still imperative to call 911, should any emergencies arise.
