KENT COUNTY — The pandemic is changing the way we celebrate birthdays and anniversaries, but it's not stopping a local fruit farm from spreading happiness.

Ed Dunneback and Girls Fruit Farm, in Kent county, is offering what it calls Celebration Grams.

Depending on the occasion, you can send doughnuts, pies, growlers of beer, or wine to that special someone. Deliveries can even be customized for a child.

The farm said it's just their unique way of spreading joy right now.

"It's just a nice little surprise," said Stephanie Ginsberg, of Ed Dunneback and Girls Fruit Farm.

"We have a 24-hour turnaround so a lot of people that have delayed deliveries from any of the bigger companies, this is something that we know we can get there in time."

The deliveries are offered in the greater Grand Rapids area.

Ed Dunneback and Girls Fruit Farm is open Thursday through Saturday for take-out only.
