LANSING, Mich. — During Thursday's protest outside the State Capitol, several people were involved in a brief scuffle that ended with the involvement of State Police.

A FOX 17 camera captured video of a man carrying a colonial-era American flag and a doll in a noose from a fishing pole. He was also holding a trash bin with an axe inside.

Several people surrounded him, asking him to leave. At one point a few people went after the man's flag pole.

A person on a loud speaker could be heard calling for police officers to intervene.

After the first scuffle, the man was seen inspecting the axe before another person made an attempt to grab the garbage bin.

Less than a minute later, several State Police Troopers separated the man from the crowd. The axe was surrendered to police.
