HASTINGS, Mich — A beloved music store in downtown Hastings closed it's doors for good Friday evening.
Steve Walker and his wife Nancy opened Walker Music and Textile Co. 11 years ago. It was their dream, Steve said.
Steve, who plays over 50 instruments, taught music lessons to kids helping them to love music as well. He also repaired guitars and other instruments.
Then after the governor issued the stay-at-home executive order on March 24, they had to close, he said. They were deemed 'non-essential.'
Friday, they closed for good.
