GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. - — A new exhibit called "Outbreak" is opening at the Grand Rapids Public Museum Saturday, August 1st.

The exhibit covers the human, animal, and environmental factors that contribute to infectious disease epidemics.

When exploring the exhibit guests will be able to read from panels that explain how disease is spread from livestock, what past pandemics looked like, and our best defense with it comes to COVID-19.

Director of Marketing for the Grand Rapids Public Museum, Christie Bender says; "This exhibit and the panels inside of it is coming from the Smithsonian... Then we also had our science curator, Dr. Redman at the museum add additional information as we are constantly learning more about COVID-19."

The exhibit also features memorabilia from West Michiganders showcasing their time in lockdown.

Your memorabilia can be showcased as well!

If you have a video from your time in lockdown, pictures, or even written stories you can "donate" them at GRPM.org.
