MIDDLEVILLE, Mich. — Charles Pullen, the president of Middleville's Village Council, has died from complications of COVID-19.
Pullen died on Nov. 20, according to Village Manager Patricia Rayl today.
He was admitted to the hospital on Nov. 11.
Since 2002, Pullen served on the Middleville Village Council. Previously, he served on the Middleville Planning Commission.
Pullen was a dedicated Army veteran, according to Rayl. He worked to ensure no veteran in the region died alone.
“Charlie was instrumental in the Crane Road bridge project and the Paul Henry Trail through Middleville," Rayl said.
"Both projects have brought positive, long-term change to keep the village thriving."
