LANSING, Mich. (WXYZ) — Michigan's top health officials are encouraging residents to get tested after seeing lower coronavirus testing numbers.
During a Tuesday press conference, MDHHS Chief Medical Executive Joneigh Khaldun said testing is actually lower than it has been in recent months at 37,307 tests on average in the past week.

"If you need a test, you should get one. If you have symptoms, or you have been around someone with symptoms of COVID-19 ,you should get a test," said Khaldun.
There are about 300 COVID-19 testing sites across the state and many are free. Click here to find a location near you.
"This testing is so important, and the only way we’ll know where this disease is, is by testing," the doctor said.
