Michigan gets 50 ventilators on loan from Calif.

LANSING, Mich. — Fifty ventilators on loan from California are expected to arrive in Michigan Wednesday, the governor announced in a release.

California Governor Gavin Newsom sent the ventilators “to assist Governor Whitmer and the people of Michigan who are rising to meet the moment in their own fight to protect public health and safety,” Newsom is quoted.

The release included a list of items most needed in the state:

  • Masks: NIOSH N95 or better
  • Ventilators
  • Sanitizer (Hand/Wipes)
  • Gloves
  • Surgical Masks (Not handmade)
  • Hospital Gowns
  • No-Touch Thermometers
