Allergy season is coming up quickly in metro Detroit, and with the coronavirus outbreak, many people may confuse their symptoms for COVID-19 when it is in fact allergies.
The Asthma and Allergy Foundation of America created a graphic to show the difference between symptoms of COVID-19, allergies and the flu.
For season allergies, sneezing and runny nose are common, but with coronavirus, there is rarely any sneezing or runny nose.
There is commonly a cough with coronavirus, but it is rare with seasonal allergies, unless your allergies trigger asthma.
You won't get a fever from allergies, which is common in coronavirus, and you won't get body aches and pains or diarrhea either.
"All of these conditions may worsen asthma, so it’s important to keep taking your asthma control medicines," the foundation wrote.
