HARTFORD, Mich. — The first confirmed case of COVID-19 has been confirmed for Cass County.
The case was confirmed by the Michigan Department of Health, which informed the Van Buren/Cass District Health Department, which said it was investigating the circumstances in the case. That includes determining which people have been in contact with the person who came down with the virus.
The medical director for the Van Buren/Cass District Health Department said he expected fore cases in Cass County. Earlier this week, the first case appeared in neighboring Van Buren County, and today there are a total of two.
