ROTHBURY, Mich. — Electric Forest has canceled its 2020 event due to the coronavirus outbreak.

The decision announced today is based on input from state and local officials on public gatherings during the pandemic, according to Electric Forest today.

The 2020 music and camping festival sold out "within one hour" of its public sale last December.

It was scheduled for June 25-28 in Rothbury and set to be the festival's 10th-anniversary celebration.

Electric Forest said ticket holders can get a refund or keep their tickets, which will be honored at the 2021 Decade One celebration.
