KALAMAZOO, Mich. — Bronson Methodist Hospital is no longer allowing visitors except under certain circumstances because of surging coronavirus cases.

The change will be effective Thursday at 7 a.m.

“Implementing these changes helps ensure we are doing everything we can to protect our staff, patients and the community,” the hospital said in a news release. “We know this is difficult for patients and families, but it is necessary at this time.”

Officials say they’ll continue monitoring the situation and hope to reinstate expanded visitation as soon as it is safe to do so.
