GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. — With fewer and fewer people using the trains due to COVID-19 concerns, Amtrak has canceled service between Chicago and Grand Rapids for the time-being.
Among other services canceled or altered, the commuter train company says they are waiving change and cancellation fees on all existing or new reservations made prior to April 30th.
Some stations will go un-staffed and cafe services may not be offered, especially on trains connecting with Washington D.C. or New York.
Riders can call 800-USA-RAIL for more information or help canceling travel plans.
