LANSING, Mich. — The number of positive cases of the coronavirus in Michigan has increased to 22,783.
The Michigan Department of Health and Human Services (MDHHS) reported the latest numbers of cases in the coronavirus outbreak this afternoon.
The number of cases has increased 1,279 from yesterday, when there were 21,504 statewide cases.
The state says there have been 1,281 coronavirus deaths in Michigan.
The number of deaths has increased 205 from yesterday, when there 1,076 statewide deaths.
In the U.S., there are 486,490 cases, and there have been 18,002 deaths — while 27,565 people have recovered, according to the Center for Systems Science and Engineering at Johns Hopkins University.
