KALAMAZOO, Mich. — A Kalamazoo resident died during a fire at an apartment on Saturday.
At 11 p.m. officers responded to a report of a structure fire on Elm Street near West Kalamazoo Avenue.
When they arrived, they saw smoke and flames coming from a multi-unit apartment building and worked to put out the fire.
Officers found one person inside, but upon rescue they discovered the resident had already succumbed to injuries.
No other details regarding the individual is available.
