Romantic Flight Above the City

Free Fishing Weekend
if you think your special someone was quite the catch, you may want to try your hand at it again. No, not love, fishing! February 13 and 14 is one of two free fishing weekends in Michigan! All fishing licenses are waived on these days and a recreation passport is not required for entry into state parks and boating access sites.
Luminary-Lit Romantic Strolls at GR Parks
If you’d rather just take a romantic walk with your sweetie or the whole family, you can experience the magic of a luminary-lit wintry stroll at one of three city parks: Huff Park, Garfield Park Nature Reserve, or Roosevelt Park. These three parks will be set up for three nights: February 12, 13, and 14 from 6-9 p.m. in accordance with government guidelines for covid-19, the event will be contact-free, and all groups will be required to wear masks when near other groups.
World of Winter | Valent-ICE
It’s another great weekend for the World of Winter Fest in Grand Rapids. Valent-ICE, one of many attractions during the 2021 World of Winter Festival, showcases over 80 ice sculptures all throughout downtown Grand Rapids. You can even join a guided ice sculpture walking tour to learn the icy backstories of each sculpture or do a self-guided tour using the ice sculpture map.
