St. Cecilia Music Center is keeping the arts alive in West Michigan through virtual concerts, and there's a lineup of shows people can enjoy from the comfort of their home for the month of February and beyond.

Judy Collins, February 12 at 8 p.m.
Tickets: $40 with a 48-hour viewing window

For this concert event, Judy Collins will recreate her legendary 1964 New York City concert hall debut, which took place at The Town Hall almost 60 years ago.

This upcoming concert that Collins will be performing at The Town Hall will be recorded for a brand new vinyl album. By buying a ticket to Judy’s landmark concert through St. Cecilia Music Center, you not only help St. Cecilia, but you will also be among a select group of people to watch her perform her newest live album onstage at The Town Hall in New York City.

Christian McBride & Edgar Meyer, February 25 at 7 p.m.
Tickets: $15

Two amazing Jazz bassists will join forces together in concert.

Six-time GRAMMY®-winning jazz bassist Christian McBride is called a “force of nature, fusing the fire and fury of a virtuoso with the depth and grounding of a seasoned journeyman.” With a career now blazing into its third decade, the Philadelphia native has become one of the most requested, most recorded, and most respected figures in the music world today.

Avery Fisher prize-winning bassist Edgar Meyer is in demand as both a performer and a composer. He has formed a role in the music world unlike any other. Hailed by The New Yorker as “…the most remarkable virtuoso in the relatively un-chronicled history of his instrument”, Meyer’s unparalleled technique and musicianship in combination with his gift for composition have brought him to the fore, where he is appreciated by a vast, varied audience.

SCMC free virtual concerts can be enhanced with special wine and cheese packages from Martha’s Vineyard delivered to your home the day of the concert. All proceeds from the Martha’s Vineyard concert package purchase benefit SCMC.

St. Cecilia Music Center is always in need of donations in order to keep these virtual concerts going. To purchase tickets or to learn more, visit scmc-online.org or call (616)-459-2224.
