Work is underway to open the Spectrum Health Women's Health and Wellness Center, which will make it easier for women to receive a broader range of preventative, specialty, and lifestyle services dedicated to their specific health needs.

This comprehensive approach is the first of its kind in West Michigan and will offer the convenience of coordinated same-day appointments in a comfortable spa-like atmosphere.

The new center will open at the end of August and will include a broad range of unique services for women’s health care needs, including:

· Preventive care (including pap smears and pelvic exams)
· Pelvic floor concerns
· Incontinence
· Menopause symptoms
· Bone health
· Preventive heart health
· Nutrition
· Breast health

Patients will have the option to receive their mammogram results at their appointment, a rare option in Michigan.

Spectrum Health says the new center is unique compared to other Women's Health facilities because they combine multiple specialty services in one space. Women can go seamlessly from appointment to appointment rather than traveling to multiple cities and buildings. Spectrum Health also offers personalized care, including virtual visits, which will be tailored for each patient to make their visit as convenient as possible.

The Women's Center will be located at 4069 Lake Drive in southeast Grand Rapids.

They will start to see patients on September 2.
