The Ms. Wheelchair America pageant is not a beauty pageant. It celebrates wheelchair-using women who use their platforms for advocacy, leadership, and achievements, recognizing the over 70 million Americans who live with disabilities.
The event is returning to Michigan for a tenth year, this time taking place through August 23 at the Amway Grand Plaza Hotel in Grand Rapids. 19 women will be recognized at the national level this year.
Speech Night will take place Friday, August 21 at 7:15 P.M., where contestants will share their stories. The crowning gala will take place Saturday, August 22 at 7:15 P.M. Members of the public are invited to attend, and tickets for the event are $15. Both events will be livestreamed on the Ms. Wheelchair America Facebook page.
