"Ecliptic" at Rosa Parks Circle Conservancy is nearing its $2 million fundraising goal for the project.

The group says the park sees more than 700,000 visitors each year and they'd like to upgrade each feature with new and more durable materials.

Construction will begin sometime this spring, with an expected completion date of September 6, exactly 20 years after the original dedication of the park.

It's a one-mile light display showcasing the connections of nature and wildlife in Grand Rapids.

It takes about an hour to walk through the 18 different light exhibits. Some are interactive, and others have music or things like smoke bubbles.

The last day to check it out is on Sunday, November 15. Find ticket information at jbzoo.org.

4. Ring is recalling 350,000 of its video doorbells, following reports that they can catch on fire.

According to the U.S. Consumer Production Safety Commission, Ring has so far received 23 reports of a fire involving its second-generation smart doorbells.

At least eight people suffered minor burns, and there was property damage. The safety Commission says the doorbell battery can overheat if the incorrect screws are used for installation, which causes fire and burns hazards.

The recalled doorbells were sold in the U.S. and Canada between June and October this year.

5. Get ready for a sweet day, it's National Sundae Day!

A scoop or two of ice cream, chocolate sauce or syrup, whipped cream, peanuts, sprinkles, and event a maraschino cherry.

Post your sundae to the social media hashtag, #NationalSundaeDay.

Fun fact: the origin of the ice cream sundae is disputed. Both the cities of Ithaca, New York, and Two Rivers, Wisconsin claim to be the birthplace of the treat in the 1880s and 1890s.
