Meijer makes holiday shopping safe and convenient for customers

It's prime shopping season for gifts and food for the holidays. Meijer knows the holiday season will likely be different for its customers, which is why it is making it as easy as possible to shop in a way that's safe and convenient.

Whether it's in-store or online for pickup or delivery, Meijer wants to ensure everyone has a safe and happy holiday.

On top of increased cleaning practices, Meijer is installing hand sanitation stations throughout all of its stores by mid-December.

Meijer is extending all of its holiday promotions, including Black Friday and Santa Bucks, to last a full week so there’s no need for customers to rush to the store on a certain day, allowing for greater social distancing and flexibility for customers.

Meijer is planning on adjusting Thanksgiving Day hours to be 6 a.m. to 4 p.m. to give team members more time to spend with their families while still offering customers the chance to stop in for any last-minute items.

As a way of helping nonprofits stretch their dollars further, Meijer is offering new in-store discounts on apparel, toys, and nonprofits when they show their W9 and 501C3 tax ID to the customer service desk.
