There are some movies that are just synonymous with their score like the "Imperial March" from Star Wars or "The Raiders March" from Raiders of the Lost Ark. Now the Grand Rapids Symphony is presenting a show featuring some of those unforgettable compositions, and even more!
Hollywood Hits brings audiences the majestic and beautiful music from some of the world’s greatest films of all time. Experience the thrill of blockbuster movie themes from Gone With The Wind, The Magnificent 7, Dr. Zhivago, Lawrence of Arabia, James Bond, Rocky, The Pink Panther, Moon River, Dances With Wolves, Ben Hur and many more. Film clips, video montages and vintage still images add to the impact of this evening featuring memorable and beloved film music performed by the Grand Rapids symphony orchestra.
Hollywood Hits will take place January 17 & 18 at 7:30 p.m. and January 19 at 3 p.m.
Also coming up, there are a couple of other events that are movie themes such as the "Movie Maestro" on February 21 & 22 and "UP" on March 20-22.
