Are you the type of person who prefers a set of wheels over a pair of running shoes? Then grab a helmet and bike and head to southwest Michigan for the Fall Bike Celebration.

The second annual Fall Bike Celebration Weekend will highlight attractions in and around the charming village of Vicksburg, Michigan, and southwest Michigan on the Sunday bike tour.

Routes will offer views of the beautiful Vicksburg Quilt Trail paintings as cyclists ride to destinations such as Scotts Mill Park, Climax, the longest covered bridge in Michigan, and to Shipshewana and back. A kid-friendly route will traverse the Vicksburg Recreational Trail through the woods to its point of latest completion on the border of Portage. Distances range from five to 100 miles.

The celebration will also feature popular repeat activities, including ice cream at Apple Knockers Ice Cream Parlor on the shores of Sunset Lake.

An open-air lawn chair benefit concert performed by the popular Schlitz Creek Bluegrass Band will be hosted at Gilmore Car Museum on September 19 as a way to highlight its collection of restored bicycles as well.

The weekend will wrap up with $1,750 in cash prizes being announced in the Art Competition Award Ceremony.

The Fall Bike Celebration will take place on September 18-20.
