Many people are missing the musicals and plays Circle Theatre presents each year. The pandemic is still keeping people from theaters, but that doesn't mean they can't come to you. Circle Popup Concerts are happening, and they could be in your neighborhood next.
Due to COVID-19, Circle Theatre is left with the task of raising $200,000 to cover the ongoing cost of maintaining the theater. Circle Popup Concerts are Circle Theatre's way of bringing live entertainment to the community in a safe and responsible way, while also raising money for the theater.
Masks are required when not seated, all groups are seated six feet apart to ensure social distancing, and concerts are held outdoors on the lawn at the theatre.
Patrons are welcome and encouraged to bring a picnic basket and their own seating.
There will be a variety of local performers and genres of music. Upcoming performances include Carly Uthoff & Craig Avery of Brena and Feathers & Roses.
Concerts will take place on the lawn of Circle Theatre on select Mondays and Tuesdays starting at 7 p.m.
Tickets cost $15, with 10 percent of the proceeds from the night going directly to the artists.
