Recycling is one thing, but how many businesses can actually say they are 100 percent plastic-free? Bee Joyful is Michigan's first and only completely plastic-free store, and they're preparing for a soft opening on Friday.
The shop offers plastic-free alternatives to the items people most commonly use for personal and home care. Item sold includes wax cloth coverings to store food, metal straws, and more.
Bee Joyful also keeps packaging material coming into the store a bare minimum, using 100% recycled materials and zero plastic going out to customers.
The soft opening will take place Friday, July 3 from 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. with its physical location inside the Kalamazoo Mall.
The official grand opening will take place on July 10, one week later.
