After Dark GR is a West Michigan initiative using public placemarks as a platform for local artists to share their creative vision while giving back to the community and creating economic development.

44 artists from the West Michigan area are working on murals scattered throughout the Grand Rapids area: downtown, the West Side, Creston, Southtown, and the Michigan Street corridor. Each section has a special theme, with more than 35 murals being painted.

The community can interact with the murals by visiting www.afterdarkgr.com/game. Starting on September 12 there will have an interactive game through Instagram. It will have participants winding through neighborhoods collecting points until November 1.

The game honors all participating artists and several local businesses, showcasing the arts as the economic driver that they are.

This is a crowdfunded initiative through the MEDC and Patronicity. Lions & Rabbits is actively working on expanding resources for artists and businesses as they continue to watch the Arts heal and promote economic development and communication with our communities, in our communities.
