HASTINGS, Mich. — A man has is facing multiple charges following an hours-long standoff in Barry County.
The Hastings Police Chief says it started around 10:15 p.m. Tuesday night at a home on North Hanover Street.
Police say Terry Jack Rose, 33, of Hastings, was arraigned Wednesday on two counts of criminal sexual conduct, one count of assault with intent to commit criminal sexual conduct, one count of kidnapping or in the alternative one count of unlawful imprisonment, one count of felonious assault and five counts of felony firearms.
Police say a man had assaulted a woman inside with a weapon and then barricaded himself inside causing a nearly seven hour standoff.
Rose is being held on a $500,000 bond.
