COMSTOCK TOWNSHIP, Mich. — A man with autism was located safely with the help of a K-9 unit, after going missing in the woods over the weekend.

Just after 4 p.m. Saturday, deputies with the Kalamazoo County Sheriff's Office were called to a home on East G Avenue near N. 35th Street on reports of a missing person.

According to the sheriff's office, the individual left the area on foot and went into a wooded area, later calling 9-1-1 to say he had gotten lost in the woods.

With temperatures below freezing at the time, the KCSO K-9 Team was brought in to assist with the search. K-9 Officer Roseco was able to quickly locate the missing man.
