GRAND RAPIDS — WEST MICHIGAN — The forecast from FOX 17 Meteorologist Candace Monacelli: The chance for showers will carry through mid-morning Friday but a trend toward drier weather builds in for the afternoon. A mixture of sun and clouds is expected to materialize as that drier air mass works into West Michigan. A much cooler and less humid pattern is anticipated for the upcoming weekend with highs in the middle 60s. Sunshine will be seen on both weekend days with passing clouds in the mix. Overall, better sunshine looks to occur on Sunday versus Saturday. The next chance for rain holds off until late Monday into Tuesday.

TODAY: Chance morning lingering showers, otherwise becoming partly cloudy. Cooler and less humid. Highs around 70 / low 70s. Winds west-northwest at 10 to 15 mph.

TONIGHT: Mostly clear. Lows in the upper 40s. Northwest winds at 5-10 mph.

SATURDAY: Partly cloudy and cool. Highs in the mid 60s. Northwest winds at 10-20 mph.

SUNDAY: Mostly sunny to partly cloudy. Continued cool. Highs in the mid 60s.

MONDAY: Partly cloudy with late mainly overnight rain chances. Highs in the lower 70s.
