MUSKEGON — Over the last year, COVID-19 has delayed project after project, but the City of Muskegon kept on their construction timeline to expand their downtown. This spring, The city is wrapping up construction on a new convention center, a renovated hotel, and a sports arena.
The list goes on and on for new and exciting developments in downtown Muskegon as construction on the new VanDyk Mortgage Convention Center is almost complete. The convention center will be opening early this spring in just a few weeks. The new community space will offer more than 33,000 square feet of multi-functional event space while all being connected to the newly renovated Delta Hotel and Mercy Health Arena. It's an exciting time to be in Muskegon for not only residents but visitors as well.
