EMMETT TOWNSHIP, Mich. — Around 10:00 a.m., the missing 5-day-old baby reported on earlier has been located and is safe.
The child is in the custody of the biological father Jeffrey Michael Smith Sr. Child could potentially be in danger due to comments made by the father in doing harm to the child.
The father has active warrant for arrest out of Emmett Township Public Safety in Battle Creek MI..
