Suspect sought in Kalamazoo credit union armed robbery

KALAMAZOO, Mich. - Police are looking for the suspect in an armed robbery at a credit union.

Police say that one armed man walked into the Omni Community Credit Union on East Cork Street in Kalamazoo and fired shots into the ceiling. No one was injured, but he got away with an undisclosed amount of cash.

Officials describe the suspect as a slender 6' tall, black male in his thirties. He was wearing a dark colored hoodie, black pants, and dark gloves. His face was covered with a red and black bandanna and armed with a silver handgun. He left the scene on foot, but has not been located.

Police ask anyone with information regarding the robbery to call Kalamazoo Public Safety at 269-488-8911, or Silent Observer at 269-343-2100.
