GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. — Police are investigating a shooting in southeast Grand Rapids.

Investigators say it started around 12:30 p.m. when someone opened fire at a driver he had been arguing with in the area of Ardmore Street and Silver Avenue SE. Nobody was hurt in the incident.

The suspect left the area after firing the shots, but told police where he was when they called his cellphone. Officers found him at a hotel near 28th Street and Division Avenue, where he surrendered peacefully.

Silver Avenue was closed while police investigated, but has since reopened. Ardmore Street remains closed.
