MANISTEE, Mich. – A northern Michigan sheriff’s department is mourning the loss of a K-9 officer.
Beno, a 2-year-old German Shepherd, died after being hit by a car Tuesday night. The death is considered an accident.
Beno had just finished his shift a few hours before the incident.
