GRAND RAPIDS TOWNSHIP, Mich. — The East Beltline traffic was closed in both directions earlier this week while police investigated what they called “a suspicious situation” stemming from a stolen vehicle report.
Turns out, someone took the rightful license plate from the vehicle stopped by police, and put a plate from a stolen vehicle in its place.
The strange situation is still under investigation.
