RICHLAND, Mich. – Police in Richland, Michigan say that a 12-year-old made up a story about an abduction attempt earlier this week.
Chief Jeff Mattiolli told FOX 17 Friday morning that the girl confessed to making up the story on Thursday night. The girl had made a report on Wednesday of an attempted abduction near her school.
Police say that the incident appears to have been to get attention.
