2 suspects arrested in Holland double stabbing

HOLLAND, Mich. — Police have arrested two suspects following a double stabbing early Saturday morning.

At 2:22 a.m. Saturday, Holland Department of Public Safety officers were dispatched to a report of a fight and stabbing at the Baypoint Apartments at 791 E. 16th St.  Upon arriving at the scene, officers discovered two people with stab wounds.

One was treated and released at Holland Hospital and the other required surgery with wounds to the chest and stomach area. No additional information is available on this victims’ condition at this time.

While on scene at 791 E. 16th St., officers were dispatched to a fight call at 739 Lincoln Ave.  It was quickly determined that these two calls were related.  While at 739 Lincoln Ave., officers discovered two suspects from the stabbing at 791 E. 16th St. Both were arrested and charges will be sought through the Ottawa County Prosecutor’s Office.

One of the suspects required treatment at Holland Hospital for injuries to his hand.  At this point, all suspects have been arrested and are in custody.

One other individual received minor injuries during the altercation and was arrested on unrelated charges.

This investigation is ongoing and further information will be released following additional interviews and suspects being arraigned in court.
