GRANDVILLE, Mich. — A 50-year-old man from Walker died Wednesday after a crash in Grandville.
The crash was reported at about 4:26 p.m. at 44th Street and the westbound I-196 exit ramp.
Grandville Police say that the man was turning left from the exit ramp when the driver of a Jeep traveling west on 44th Street ran a red light and collided with his vehicle.
The man was pronounced dead at the scene of the crash. The driver of the other vehicle, a 34-year-old Mecosta man, was hospitalized with non-life threatening injuries, police said.
A stretch of 44th Street was closed between Kenowa Avenue and I-196 after the crash but has since reopened.
