UPDATE: The child died Sunday afternoon. He was originally identified as being 7-years-old, but that was later corrected.
GEORGETOWN TOWNSHIP, Mich. — Police say a 7-year-old was hospitalized in critical condition after nearly drowning in a pool Saturday afternoon.
It happened around 2 p.m. in the Sunningdale subdivision in Ottawa County's Georgetown Township.
Police say emergency crews administered CPR before the child was rushed to the hospital.
