PORTER TOWNSHIP, Mich. — Deputies in Cass County say an 83-year-old man was killed Friday trying to cut down a tree.
Deputies say the man, identified as Gordon Jackson, was killed on Old 112 Road just after 2 p.m.
Investigators say the tree fell on Jackson causing his death.
