Woman shot, killed in Grand Rapids’ second homicide of year

GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. — No arrests have been made after a 50-year-old woman was found shot dead outside of a home on the city's northwest side.

Grand Rapids police found the woman's body early Saturday around 1 a.m. near a home in the 400 block of Lincoln Avenue NW following reports from someone hearing gunshots in the area.

She was pronounced dead on scene.

The victim was identified by police Saturday afternoon as Laurie Kay Lundeberg, 50, of Grand Rapids.

It marks just the second homicide in the city since the start of the new year
