GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. — Grand Rapids Police say one person was injured Friday in a shooting on the city’s southeast side.
The shooting happened at about 3:30 p.m. near Burton Street SE and Eastern. Officers say a man was shot in the hip while outside a business.
He ran to nearby Ellington Academy for help, where the principal called 911. He was taken to the hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
