OSHTEMO TWP., Mich. – Four people were arrested Thursday night after an organized shoplifting campaign.

Kalamazoo County deputies were called to the Kohls at 5159 W. Main at about 5:15pm. Four people had been seen concealing merchandise on themselves.  When deputies arrived, the four left the store and tried to leave in a vehicle in the parking lot, but were stopped.

Deputies say they found over $5,400 of merchandise in the vehicle.  They believe the suspects had been to several other stores in the county.  The merchandise included clothing, food and electronics.

One of the four suspects is a juvenile and was released to a parent.  The other three, two women and one man, were taken to the Kalamazoo County Jail.  Charges are pending.
