GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. — Grand Rapids Police say a woman was shot Saturday night on the city’s south side.

It happened around 8:30 p.m. in the 1400 block of Grandville Avenue between Naylor and High Street SW.

Police tell FOX17 the victim suffered a gun shot wound to the hand and was taken to a nearby hospital for non-life threatening injuries.

It is not clear what led up to the incident.

Responding officers say they found bullet holes in a nearby home that appeared to have come from a small caliber or BB gun.

Police say they have no description of the suspect in this case.
