BATTLE CREEK, Mich. — If you live or plan on driving through Battle Creek Saturday evening, be on alert.
Several downtown streets will be closed for the Tinsel Toes 5K while runners and walkers wear their ugliest Christmas sweaters.
The race kicks off at 5:30 p.m. at the city’s Full Blast, 35 Hamblin Avenue.
Road closures will begin at 5 p.m. and will include:
- Hamblin Avenue – McCamly Street to Division Street
- Michigan Avenue – Washington Avenue to Division
- Van Buren Street – Washington to Capital Avenue
The city is warning residents to drive carefully in the area of the race.
