FOX 17 – We tried, but the NFL has moved the Chicago Bears vs. Detroit Lions game to CBS this week.
Normally, games where the NFC is the visiting team are on Fox. But, from what we can tell, Fox moved the start time of the Seattle vs. Green Bay game to 4:25pm, which then put three games on Fox in the late slot. To compensate, the NFL picked one Fox game from the 1:00pm slate to move to CBS and that happened to be the Lions for this week.
So, the Lions will be avenging one of their few losses this week on CBS at 1:00pm. Fox does get the double header, so we’ll have the Minnesota Vikings taking on the Jacksonville Jaguars at 1:00pm and the aforementioned Seattle vs. Green Bay game at 4:25pm.
More scheduling oddities may be on the way as the networks and the NFL get into flex schedules. According to Adam Schefter of ESPN, the December 18th game of Tampa Bay vs. Dallas has been moved off of Fox to NBC Sunday night. That means Fox may get a substitute game. Stay tuned.
