If you're looking for some fun family friendly time to get away from the cold, the Grand Rapids Children's Museum is the place to go!
For the whole month of December, GRCM has stations all around the museum for the kids to make calendars, ornaments, and making cards to give to someone else for the holidays. The museum hopes to teach kids about the joys of giving to someone else and the joy of sharing.
They're also hosting a New Year's Eve party on December 31 so kids can take part in the New Year's fun, but it's early enough so you can get them home just in time for bed.
Before bed time though, the kids can enjoy a catered dinner, a DJ that plays music, and a big countdown to a balloon drop at 7:30 p.m. The party will happen from 6 to 8 p.m. and cost $10 to $12.
Don't forget on Thrifty Thursdays, join the Grand Rapids Children's Museum for their Family Night from 5 to 8 p.m. for just $1.75 admission fee.
Plus, they have a Smart Shopper Steal! Viewers can buy a family four pack of admission tickets to the museum for just $15. That's over a 50 percent savings.
The Grand Rapids Children's Museum is located on 11 Sheldon Avenue Northeast. For more information on their exhibits and hours, call (616) 235-4726.
