Winter Storm Watch issued for Wednesday night

GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. – The National Weather Service has issued a Winter Storm Watchfor a lake effect snow event that starts Wednesday night.

The watch covers Allegan, Kalamazoo, Oceana, Ottawa and Van Buren counties, starting late Wednesday night and going until Friday afternoon.

Some areas of the lakeshore may see one to two inches of snow per hour during the peak of the event.
